Katie graduated from Nova’s Shepard Broad College of Law and began her legal career at a boutique law firm in Miami where she practiced complex commercial litigation in state and federal courts and handled various franchise and intellectual property matters. Katie also briefly litigated matters on behalf of banks and insurance companies. Now, Katie is a principal attorney at Shenko Business Law and serves as an outside counsel to a Miami-based global media company, Motorsport Network.
Katie’s experience includes domestic and cross-border joint ventures, shareholder agreements for all entity types (including partnership and operating agreements), corporate structuring and restructurings, contract negotiation, employment matters, and trademark and copyright matters for various types of businesses in industries including sports, media, entertainment, technology, and franchising.
Being an entrepreneur herself, Katie tailors her services and legal strategies to clients’ specific needs and concerns. While assisting clients with business negotiations and drafting, she goes above and beyond to counsel and help clients at every step of the way, answering their questions and providing practical solutions.
